Hunting Kangaroo....🙊

Güncelleme tarihi: 25 Oca 2019

Life is really interesting... You might live things you never guess. My life has changed completely in the last year.

I have a new sister now on the road I started alone one year ago. In the darkness and light of Finland, 7-24 together, to share everything together, to support each other,...

I am tolking about my flatmate Jessica Sitzenfrey. We lived together and worked in Finland for 1 year. She is from Austria. Bur the problem is people always understand it as Australia :D and everytime the reaction is the same = " Kangaroo...! "

And now my project in Finland has finished and its time to learn whether they really use kangaroo for tansportation or not !?

Let's learn... Next station is Austria/Innsbruck !

I got the train early in the morning from Vienna to Innsbruck. I met an Italian guy on the train. He was an erasmus student in Austria and He was traveling around. We had 4 hours journey and we spent time by talking about Austria,İtaly,Finland and Turkey.

After 4 hours we finally arrived to Innsbruck. Before the train left I saw Jessy and Jenny in front of the door of train. They already came here and were waiting for me. 🤗🤗🤗 Amazing sisters <3

we went to their car and we set off to Tirol.

The weather was good a few days ago.The good weather changed to rain. I have a bit bad luck... For all that the landscape was fascinating. The mountains in front of me was requiring my neck to make 180 degrees When I looked up.The hills were covered with clouds, although you couldn't see the top of the mountains. I felt myself very small between the huge mountains.

Innsbruck is the capital of Tirol one of Austria's nine states. People call it capital of Alps. It is really popular with winter sports. It attracts people with wood houses, history and nature beauty. It became a host for the winter olympics in 1964 and 1976 years. There was the first official chess competition In 1929. Therefore you can see usually many old people playing chess in parks.

It is a student city with 2 universities.

Inn means river on region and Bruck means something like bridge. So Innsbruck means bridge over the river. Here is Heidi's country with " Yolla io " :D

We came to Jessy's house. A cute 3 floor wooden house . The yard covered with flowers. First I met her whole family before. We visited Jessy's Grandparents on the first floor. I saw our picture on the corner. She started to talk with us in english. Even Jessy never heard her speaking english before :D

I am gonna spend my 1 week here with an amazing family and people.

Jessy,Jenny,Matthias,Manuela,Jürgen and her grandparents :)

What have we done in this beautiful Heidi world?

  1. We went to the festival of schnitzels

What is coming on your mind when you hear Austria? Mountains ,huge glases of beers, brezel, skiing,...etc and Vienna schnitzel !!!

Austria has a schnitzel fest in a different location once every month. People wear Trachten and everbody comes to the town square. There is live traditional music, huge schnitzels dishes, drinks and schnapps.

This year is schnitzel fest took place at Mötz in August of 2018

There is a choir of innsbruck and girls in traditional dress offered free schnapps from their wooden bags.

2.Visiting a historic church in the mountains

Austria has churches usually on the highest point in every single town. We visited one church. It's call Locherboden. To reach there you have to walk up the mountain.A view of the whole town is under your feet at the church.

There are some people in Locherboden. Some of them are praying, some of them are visiting like us.

3.Trekking

There are many things to do in limited time. Today we are going to do trekking on the list. ✔

First We are going to pick Anna up from her house by car.

Anna was our first guest in Finland. Anna and Jenny came to visit us in winter 2017. Now we are in a different place, in a different season ... Sometimes the earth is small and we are collecting friend names in our life :)

We go to Stöttlalm to hike. From mountain slopes to up...

greenery, snow on top of mountains, fresh air, warm weather, sounds of nature,...

Why does the greenery make people feel peaceful? Maybe to return to your essenc. I am in a piece of heaven

There is a mountain wooden house on every mountain after one point. It calls Almhütte. After walking you can take a break and eat or drink something here.

The name of the Almhütte we hiked to Stöttlalm.A small wooden mountain house covered with flowers. There is a small lake next to the house and golf links on the other side. There were many people inside despite the beatuful view.

You can have more imformation from here = www.stoettlalm.at

There is a famous drink here. People usualy drink it after a long walk. It calls Almdudler and Johannisbeer- Saft. Almdudler and johannisbeersaft are traditional drink of Austria. Almdudler has a spicy and gingerbread taste. Johannisbeersaft is a blackcurrant juice

People say about it "wenn die kan almdudler hab'n, geh' = "if they don't have Almdudler, I turn back to home"

😅😅😅😅

We walked along a river road.

On the way We saw corn fields. The story that makes the corn field special is that one upon a time Turkish people moved to Austria and They brought corn seed here. Before that Austria didn't had it and after that They started to call it Türken. 😅

Then we went to Stams to see a waterfall. We had to go through the underpass to cross the road. But there was a little problem 😅 The weather was rainy these days and all the rainwater came down to the underpass and turned it into a small lake. We had to take off our shoes and pass to other side through water.

Foliage in water looks like fish.

Walking in obscurity 😝

Then a very beautiful wooden bridge welcomed us. The bridge was swaying under your feet, while walking on.

After passing the bridge and walking a bit more we arrived at the waterfall.

It's white water, the coolness of the shadow

and the peaceful sound of nature...

Here is pinic and camping area. When we came here there was nobody around.

We wanted to get closer to the waterfall. I could feel the coolness of water on my feet while walking. View is worth it <3

In the world there are many similar places. But if you know how you can make yourself happy, you can find something special everywhere.

Just focus on how that place makes you feel.

Look for the reasons for being happy instead of sadness 👍🏻

4.Visit Katie's House for dinner 👌🏻 Traditional Foods

Anna was our first guest in Finland, Katie was our last guest together with Jessy 😊

She won everyone's affection in a few days with her sympathetic personality.

After a hard work day, Kati invited us to her house and a cooked delicious dinner for us.

Dinner Menu:

  • Pumpkin soup Austrian style with souce

  • Schupfnudeln with vegetables

  • Kirchtagskrapfen

When we arrived there Katie's dog Piggy welcomed us. I love animals but initially big dogs always scare me :D but in a short time we got used to each other.

Everything that Katie cooked was super delicious !! I ate my fingers while eating 😊 Thank you Katie ....

I think after dinner I had a food baby.

One more thing caught my attention. In my country I haven't seen it before but it is really common here. In Finland I saw it in one place. But every house in Austria has a Soda machine. Tap water transforms into sparkling water. And usually people prefer it instead of normal water.

After dinner their friends joined us. I met more people every day. At this point I wished to undertand German. Because they usually speak German and after one point they translated for me but something were missing 😅 While trying to understand, I felt like my mind went blank. 😅😅😅😅 ahahaha...

I learned a new game. It is really common here. It calls Hausdepp. You have to pay attention to people's movements. If you late you will loose and You get a punishment :DD

But I am too new for this game. I will be better 😝

5.Hiking

Today we are going to Rosskopf to take a long walk.

Reichenspitze group has many tracks for hiking. Many of the summits are sharp, rocky and hard to reach. Its elevation is 9334 ft / 2845 m. But ... I'm not used to walk in such a place and it should be a bit easy for my first way 😅 So they chose Rosskopf. It is a typical hiking mountain with a marked trail .

In the morning after breakfast Farnk and Tobi picked us up by car. We listened to Eminem's songs all the way. They know all songs by heart 😅.This reminded me of my childhood memories full of Eminem's songs 😊

We went to Niederau then we took a cable car from the village centre to the Markbachjoch at 1500 metres in 8 minutes.

The cable car goes uphill to the mountains offering the most beautiful views of the Salzkammergut.

There is a cute Almhütte, a small lake and a small cross for first summit. Every summit has a cross and when you go higher, the cross is bigger than before on the other summit. We went uphill to the summit on winding way. Large and tight ways. When we went higher, ground under my feet changed. Greenery ground replaced by rocky and tiny paths. We walked about 2 hours and 30 minutes to the summit. We went above the clouds. I was at a place where the rain couldn't reach me. This was wonderful with one word.

Beautiful view, perfect people and funny day. Everything look perfect about today. <3

I spend 9 mohnts with my flatmate Jessy. We made a new life for ourselves in Finland and to see the real life of Jesssy is like getting to know a new person. I am realy realy so happy to know Jessy, Jessy's family and her friends. All of them are realy kind and nice people.

Thank you for everything <3 I would like to see all of them in Turkey. Always welcome here 😊
